o Conduct Biological Assessments and surveys to determine the existence of, and potential impact to, endangered species in accordance with criteria in 50 CFR Part 402 – Interagency Cooperation – Endangered Species Act of 1973, as amended 

o Conduct surveys, assessments, and reviews of other potential areas of impact such as  water quality, wetland delineations, sole or principle drinking aquifers, prime farmlands, and other ecologically significant or geographically unique areas

  • 5 to 10 or more years of experience in biological evaluations and threatened and endangered species. Preferably in the Mariana Islands or applicable Pacific Islands.
  • An undergraduate degree in biology or an environmental science or related field
  • Experience with Endangered Species Act and federal project reviews.
  • Experience in conducting environmental reviews of infrastructure projects in Region IX preferred.
  • Preferred experience with ESA compliance for the PA Program and other FEMA grant programs in Region IX, including preparation of Biological Assessments (BAs), and support for consultations with the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS).
