Texas Conservation Corps is recruiting Crew Leaders for our 2018 season! We have a variety of positions available:
- Trails Across Texas - Austin, TX - our Texas State Parks dedicated trail crew
- Field Crew - Austin, TX - complete conservation projects in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas
- Coastal Restoration - Houston, TX - complete restoration projects throughout the Houston and Galveston Bay area
After years of working in Louisiana, Texas Conservation Corps is excited to start a new adventure based in Baton Rouge. Join us for our first ever Louisiana Conservation Corps! This crew will tackle some of the toughest problems in Louisiana including disaster response, coastal restoration, and public land maintenance needs.

For all positions, leaders will co-lead a 10 person crew through conservation projects. Crews will typically work a 10 days on and 4 days off schedule: leaving on a Monday, and coming back the following Wednesday. At the beginning of the week, the crew will go grocery shopping and purchase food with a budget provided by TxCC/LaCC. The crews will then work, camp, eat, and live together until the end of their 10 day work cycle.
For local project site’s, crews will work a regular 8-5pm, Monday-Friday schedule. During projects, the crews will get to and from their project sites using our vehicles, driven by the crew leaders.
Term of service: November 28th, 2017 – November 16th, 2018
Living Stipend: $1,500 / month
