Braided River is looking for an entrepreneurial and creative development professional with a passion for conservation, photography, and books to lead and expand our development efforts. The Development Manager will build, cultivate, and expand a diverse base of financial support from individual donors, foundations, and corporations to support quality publications and programming that promotes environmental advocacy to preserve the last wild places in western North America.
Braided River is a strategic conservation communication organization that makes its impact by supporting the publication of beautiful, large-format photography books that serve as a media platform. As a stand-alone nonprofit that is affiliated with Mountaineers Books, Braided River addresses pressing conservation issues through partnerships with foundations, grassroots organizations, and photographers. Braided River is a one-of-a-kind organization, bringing together art and advocacy, publications and partnerships to realize its mission.
This is an exciting opportunity to have a pivotal position on a small team with the potential for significant growth as the development program expands. It is a full- time position based in Seattle WA, with some opportunities for flexible work hours.
