Join the Office of Compliance Assistance and Enforcement (OCAE) as our next Investigator!
In this rewarding position at the CA. Energy Commission, you’ll have the opportunity to lead and support complex investigations and enforcement actions related to California’s Appliance Efficiency Regulations. In this role, you’ll analyze market and product testing data, conduct appliance test laboratory audits, manage enforcement rulemakings, and collaborate with technical, legal, and industry partners to ensure regulatory compliance. The position requires strong analytical, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical issues for diverse audiences and deliver high-quality work across multiple priorities.
- 3 years ENERGY EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED for this role and Bachelor's Degree
- Hybrid telework option available within the state of California.

Salary Range: $8,983.00 - $11,115.00 per month, PTO, and full benefits!

Desirable Qualifications:
- Knowledge of the Title 20 Appliance Efficiency Regulations.
- Prior enforcement experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively and relay complicated information in a simple manner.
- Ability to deal with difficult people and manage conflict.
- Ability to analyze issues, think critically, and provide recommendations both orally and in writing.
- Ability to write, review, and edit technical information for various audiences, including Commission leadership and the public.
- Ability to create a project plan, set milestones, and meet deliverables on time with high-quality and accurate products.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize work activities, and deliver high-quality, timely work products.
