White Oak Farm Outdoor Environmental Educator Position

White Oak Farm is currently hiring for our School Garden Educator position.  This position is part time and flexible.  We run programs in 3 partner schools on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays during the school year.  Our schools are Williams Elementary, Applegate School and the Ruch Outdoor Community School. We are looking for someone who is able to work either one or all of those days.  

Our pay is $20-$22/hr depending on experience and all applicants receive a thorough background check.

We are looking for someone who is positive, enthusiastic, loves gardens, cooking, nutrition, and has experience working with large groups of children.   Our classes are outdoors in the school gardens unless the weather is too extreme.  We teach a range of subjects from local ecology and plant cycles to food nutrition and cooking.  Our lessons are action based and often include art projects.
