River Wranglers Director

River Wranglers

Dayton ,  Nevada

River Wranglers seeks a dynamic and qualified Director of Environmental Education to promote its vision of connecting youth to the Carson River watershed. Now more than ever youth need the opportunity to be outside, engage in science, and connect with the natural world around them. To that end River Wranglers promotes innovative and award winning programs to engage thousands of K-12 students, as well as our community, in field learning activities. This opportunity makes a difference in the lives of kids: in their education, the support they receive from their local community, and connection to their environment. River Wranglers’ programs include local, state, and federal agencies, citizen groups and civic service clubs in a coordinated effort to encourage and support ongoing community awareness of watershed-literacy. As a bonus, River Wranglers is located in scenic Western Nevada; within easy driving distance of Lake Tahoe, the Sierra Nevada, and Reno.

River Wranglers is a non-profit 501(c)3 environmental education program integrating Next Generation Science Standards into field learning experiences for students within the Carson River watershed. We strive to inspire youth through hands-on learning to explore, conserve, and understand the importance of local rivers. For further information please see our website at www.riverwranglers.org.
