APPLICATIONS ARE NOW BEING ACCEPTED for a full time Watershed Technician at the Sherman County Soil and Water Conservation District in Moro, Oregon. We are looking for a motivated, hardworking individual who is passionate about conservation and agriculture to join our team. The Watershed Technician is a full-time permanent position. The Technician will provide outreach and technical assistance to landowners for programs offered and managed by the Sherman County SWCD and USDA. The Technician will provide support for the SWCD on all aspects of conservation projects (design, implementation, completion, and monitoring), grant submittals and tracking, and provide Farm Bill support. Successful candidate will gain experience and training in multiple restoration activities throughout the Lower Deschutes and John Day watersheds.

Salary range is $44,117-$59,966 annually depending on experience. We offer full benefits including health, dental, vision, paid time off and sick/wellness leave. Sherman County SWCD realizes the need for continuous education and provides staff with training throughout their career.
