Attorney III
Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety
Sacramento, California
Energy Safety is Hiring an Attorney III:
California has been through a lot. Lost homes, hometowns, and loved ones. Enough is enough. At the Office of Energy Infrastructure Safety, we’re pushing utilities above and below ground to think differently, to understand their risk, and to change the way they do business given our changing climate.
Energy Safety is looking for a public service-minded Attorney III to help advance long-term utility safety. This role will work with both our electrical and underground infrastructure teams. On the electrical side, this attorney will assist in the evaluation of wildfire mitigation plans including from the three major investor-owned utilities in California. On the underground side, this attorney will assist the Underground Safety Board with enforcement of the Dig Safe Act which aims to prevent damage to underground utilities during excavation and construction. The salary range is $11,695-$14,879 per month. This position qualifies for a hire above minimum salary, meaning even new to State candidates can be hired into a salary above the typical minimum salary for an Attorney III.
