What You'll Do

• Design and prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates for roads, bridges, parking lots, trails, utility systems, stormwater facilities, and more.
• Conduct site layouts, grading plans, cross-sections, and topographic mapping.
• Assist with permitting through local, state, and federal agencies.
• Evaluate water resource projects for flood control, erosion mitigation, and drainage.
• Inspect construction sites for compliance with plans and permits.
• Manage multiple projects and assist with overseeing team members.

What You'll Need

• Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; 4 - 6 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois, or the ability to obtain licensure within one 1 year.
  Medical clearance to wear a respirator.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements relevant to design and construction projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word processing and spreadsheet applications, AutoCAD Civil 3D for designing and drafting civil engineering plans.
• Well-versed in various modeling programs such as HEC-1, TR-20, HEC-RAS, Hydraflow, HY-8, etc., for water flow and stormwater management analysis.
• Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines and objectives.
• Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and data.

• Monday-Friday | Full-time
• Starting salary: $88,774 - $99,965 per year.

Work Setting

Based out of the headquarters facility in Wheaton, IL, with travel to forest preserve project sites throughout DuPage County.
