The Kalamazoo River Watershed Council (KRWC) is dedicated to restoring and protecting the health of the Kalamazoo River, its tributaries, and its watershed by collaborating with all communities, government agencies, local officials, and businesses.

Position Summary:

The Community Engagement Coordinator will work closely with the Executive Director and lead efforts to connect people from all communities throughout the Kalamazoo River
Watershed with the river and watershed. This role focuses on building strong community relationships, coordinating volunteer programs, organizing educational events and public programs, supporting speaking engagements, and developing creative outreach strategies that expand the reach and impact of the Kalamazoo River Watershed Council. This individual will also help create and implement new educational initiatives and community events that raise awareness about the Kalamazoo River Watershed. The ideal candidate is proactive, self-motivated, highly organized, and an enthusiastic communicator with a passion for environmental stewardship, equity, and community collaboration.
