Salary: $3,619.00 - $4,842.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:
- Assist the project team in the design and creation of an Excel-based inventory database structure to adequately capture the information about the donated materials
- While at the Survey’s warehouse, catalog rock samples from the collection into a warehouse inventory.
- Re-box and re-label samples for long-term storage as samples are cataloged and cross-checked.
- Assemble metadata records for all physical records, including samples, field notebooks, reports, draft geologic maps, and analytical results in the new Collection Database.
- Ensure that all samples contained within the Collection Database have a geographic location associated with them
- Perform quality control analysis on the newly constructed and updated datasets
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, that includes either coursework in math or statistics
OR equivalent education and/or experience in analysis, research, or statistics will substitute for the above. - Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
