Surrounded by state and national forests, Cantrell Creek Trout Farm is located in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. The ideal candidate likes working outside, in and around water, with people and trout.
We are looking for someone with experience and a can-do attitude. The Delivery and Stocking Technician (DT) supports the Assistant Manager in running and maintenance of farm. The DT will be responsible for care of fish from egg to trophy, primarily carrying out deliveries and stocking. 

In addition, the DT has the opportunity to be responsible for general maintenance on the farm, including: equipment repair, construction, in-house vehicle maintenance, equipment maintenance.   Mechanical/ plumbing/ automotive/ construction skills a plus. Having this additional responsibility would be reflective in the hourly rate assigned.
This position reports to the Assistant Manager.

The DT is expected to lift materials up to 75 lbs, work indoors and outdoors, in and around water in varying climatic conditions year round. 

Must have clean driving record and background check. Must be able to drive manual transmission competently. Must be competent with 4 wheel drive, backing up, and assessing driving conditions both on and off road. 
 Hourly position. Hourly rate commensurate with experience. Benefits include paid time off, health stipend, supplemental insurance.In addition, clothing and gear required for various farm duties will be provided.
