Canyonlands Field Institute (CFI) is seeking a collaborative, energetic leader to be our new Education Director. Based out of Moab, UT, this position oversees all education programs to ensure they meet the highest standards of educational quality, customer service, and risk management. 

The candidate for this position is an experienced teacher and leader with a commitment to place-based experiential learning and familiarity with managing requirements of government permits on public lands and rivers. Candidates must have a strong connection to, and passion for, CFI’s mission to cultivate connection to self, community, and nature by creating inclusive educational pathways to the outdoors. With a new Learning Center building set to welcome students in April 2026, the CFI Education Director will build capacity and educational opportunity at our Professor Valley Field Camp. The ideal candidate is creative, professional, familiar with trends in science education, and possesses a strong work ethic.
