Are you interested in making a difference for children and youth in Boston and Cambridge? "e" inc. -- the environmental science learning & action center, based in Boston, is seeking full-time environmental educators to engage, excite and motivate children and youth.

Our goals are to help children understand and love science and to get involved in action tasks that make a difference. We teach in day schools, after-school programs, and youth teams.

"e" inc. seeks science educators familiar with working in a metropolitan setting. We invite educators with a degree in, and/or minor in, science-related fields who have also taught in structured settings. Our team members are excited to bring science to kids and also to involve them in making a difference.

Our staff provides year-long ongoing partnerships with all our sites. We teach the science that drives the planet -- i.e., the beings, biomes, resources, and systems of the planet and the skills to create new and positive outcomes for students and for the Earth. We serve sites in the cities of Boston and Cambridge, MA.

"e" inc. educates young people to be science literate and also protectors of the planet. We accomplish this by teaching robust hands-on science and involving young people in ongoing tasks that foster conservation and sustainability.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Learning and teaching our project-based, hands-on planet science curricula at an array of sites across 2 cities

PLEASE APPLY IF:

  • You have taught in classroom settings or after-school or youth teams and feel confident engaging kids and managing classroom behavior.
  • You are comfortable working independently and confident negotiating a strong leadership role at your sites.
  • You are excited by and educated in sciences and love the challenges of working with elementary, middle school, or teen populations.
  • You have a passion for the environment and enjoy helping young people have access to great science learning.

START DATE: Training end-June
