Make a difference this summer as you connect kids to birds and nature! As a member of Audubon Society of Western Pennsylvania’s Nature Day Camp staff, you’ll lead environmental field trips, plan and implement our summer day camp program, and assist with other education and conservation efforts. Camp days include exploration, nature study, games, crafts, and science experiments. ASWP will cooperate with your school to provide internship documentation if needed.

Begin: May 11, 2026
End: August 10, 2026
Some allowance to negotiate start and end date at time of hire.

Monday through Friday, day shift. Pay is hourly. $15 per hour; 440 hours total for the summer estimated. Hours offered are subject to the needs of the organization and not guaranteed. Housing is not provided. 

Positions will be based at Beechwood Farms Nature Reserve, 614 Dorseyville Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15238. Any position may be called upon to work at any ASWP location in southwestern Pennsylvania. Employees must provide their own transportation to work sites.

Requirements: At least 18 years old, High School graduate or GED. Reliable personal transportation. Background clearances required before beginning work. Must enjoy the outdoors and working with children. Priority given to those pursuing careers in education or environmental science. Prior experience with leadership in scouting, camp counseling, informal education or similar is preferred.
