
Environmental Stewardship Teacher

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our teaching team! Our Stewardship Teachers are responsible for teaching any of the designated programs and following the curriculum that has been written. Availability and hours are offered in accordance with program bookings, we are looking for someone who is available Monday-Friday and occasional weekends beginning in April and available through the summer. Programs Offered: Field trips, Preschool Playdates, and Discovery Summer Camps.
Compensation:
$17.50 hourly
Responsibilities:
Programs Offered:
- Field trips - AHLF offers field trips for Kindergarten- seventh-grade students in San Diego County. Our teacher leads groups of students through five hands-on activities.
- Preschool Playdates - This program is an all-outdoor preschool for students ages 3-5. Teachers foster a safe and fun learning environment for children to learn social, emotional and cognitive skills as well as engage in outdoor activities.
- Discovery Summer Camps - Camps are run during Summer, Fall and Winter and are held outdoors. All camps have different weekly themes and teachers lead students through activities, games and lessons.
Qualifications:
- Teaching experience is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in education, environmental science, or related field is preferred
- CPR/First Aid training
