Location: Our beautiful 530-acre private nature preserve in Pasco County, Florida, just 20 minutes north of downtown Tampa, offers unparalleled access to Crystal Springs, the Hillsborough River and unique Florida ecosystems.
About Crystal Springs Foundation -
Crystal Springs Foundation (CSF) is a widely-respected 501(c)(3) organization recognized as a statewide leader in environmental education. Our programming focuses on the preservation of Florida's natural environment, specifically the Floridan Aquifer and the Hillsborough River Watershed.
Mission Statement: Crystal Springs Foundation is dedicated to the conservation and stewardship of Florida's unique natural resources, specifically the Hillsborough River Watershed, for the benefit of future generations. We accomplish this through:

What You'll Do -
Inspire Through Immersive Education:
- Lead engaging, hands-on science and biodiversity programs that immerse students in our unique habitats.
- Guide river explorations including netting and wading activities in the Hillsborough River.
- Teach diverse age groups in our unique natural classroom settings.
- Develop and enhance programming aligned with Florida's Science Academic Standards.
Make a Real Conservation Impact:
- Participate in habitat stewardship projects including exotic plant removal, river cleanups, habitat restoration, and planting.
- Contribute to ongoing biodiversity management efforts.
- Maintain and improve educational equipment and resources used in science programs.
Build Community Connections:
- Collaborate with our passionate conservation team.
- Manage program reservations, confirmation, and participant follow-up communications.
- Engage with students from across Central Florida and beyond.
What We're Looking For -
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science, education, or related field.
- Strong communication and public speaking abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Canva.
- Swimming proficiency (safety requirement for river programs)
- Genuine appreciation for Florida's springs and natural systems.
Preferred Experience:
- Two to three years of teaching experience or certification.
- Small reptile handling and aquarium care experience.
- Outdoor education background.
- WordPress experience.
