The Lummi Island Heritage Trust (LIHT) is looking for a part-time Finance Manager to assist the Executive Director, staff and external contractors in managing and maintaining the financial integrity of LIHT.

The successful candidate will:

  • perform daily accounting operations, manage grants and maintain and reconcile assets and depreciation;
  • process donations and manage donor database;
  • thoroughly understand non-profit financial management based on a knowledge of GAAP and a familiarity with the requirements of the OMB, FASB, and the IRS;
  • be well versed in accrual accounting, double entry bookkeeping, fund accounting, and use of QuickBooks Online;
  • produce timely and GAAP compliant monthly and annual financial reports;
  • facilitate internal budget development, and support contracted annual audit and 990 preparation;
  • assist with general office management, including payroll processing.

This position requires 24 hours per week, primarily on site.  Starting compensation is $35/hour DOE, paid leave, and SIMPLE IRA employer match of 3%.  The LIHT work environment is one of personal integrity, inclusion and respectful behavior set in the beauty of the Otto Preserve.
