Salary: $6,259.00 - $8,415.00 Monthly

Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and communicates with Region Roads Engineers and District timber sale staff to provide engineering support and expertise in timber sale unit design, road layout, and compliance.
- Conceives, designs, stakes, and administers the construction of select public works projects.
- Supervise, assign work, and mentor subordinates in timber sale roads planning, preparation, documentation, and contract administration.
- Work with District Unit Foresters to train entry-level foresters in proper road location, rock and culvert quantities, and timber sale road compliance.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Forest or Civil Engineering AND three years of professional experience;
OR an equivalent combination of education and/or experience. - Experience in stream crossing structure design.
- Experience in road design, construction, and maintenance, including analysis of logging operations.
- Experience in contract preparation and administration.
- Experience in surveying and surveying principles.
- Experience designing fish passage structures and bridges.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
- Facilitation and negotiation skills.
