Foresters perform professional duties in forestry, natural resource management and conservation, fire prevention and suppression, and related areas.Incumbents possess a degree of knowledge and proficiency sufficient to perform advanced-level work and may provide work direction and training to others.The Nevada Division of Forestry (NDF) is seeking a Forester 3 to oversee natural resource program support and implementation across the southern region. Natural Resource programming focuses on implementing fuel and vegetation management along NV Energy transmission and distribution lines. This work must coincide with the priorities, goals, and objectives of NV Energy and NDF. This position will work together with partners and cooperators to coordinate, plan, implement, and track accomplishments that reduce the risk of catastrophic loss to communities, infrastructure, and ecosystems in assigned areas. This position will coordinate the implementation of assigned duties through contracting with NDF, partnering agencies, and private contractors.
