Instructor, Arboriculture (Spanish/English) Part-Time

Role and Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary teacher and mentor for a cohort of up to 10 students during a 10-week Urban Nature Arboriculture training program, including labs with Bartlett Tree Experts (total of 120 hours).
- Support the integration and ongoing development of the Arborist Training Program.
- Collaborate with Unlimited Potential’s Adult Education team to identify curriculum improvements, training opportunities and potential barriers for students.
- Provide ongoing guidance, mentorship, and support to cohort members.
- Work collaboratively with grant partners, community leaders, and residents to promote participation in urban forestry career pathways.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 2–3 years of experience in arboriculture, or a combination of education and practical arboricultural experience. Experience is demonstrated through study, teaching, professional experience, and/or certification (e.g., Arizona Landscape Contractors Association, International Society of Arboriculture, or Association of Professional Landscape Designers).
- Spanish fluency required
- Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring within arboriculture or a related field.
- Ability to prepare, organize, and deliver instruction effectively to adult learners.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and demonstrate enthusiasm for supporting urban forestry initiatives.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Capable of working independently and managing multiple priorities.
- Availability for two morning classes and Saturday field experience days.
Additional Preferred Skills
- Experience working in multicultural environments.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Supplemental Information
Start Date: January 2026 (Cohort 3 of the Arboriculture Training Program).
Hours/Location: Part-time position; approximately 120 hours over 10 weeks at G. Benjamin Brooks Non-Profit Campus.
Salary: $50 per course hour of teaching. Part-time instructors are compensated for an additional 60 minutes per instructional hour for preparation and office hours. Additional hours will be approved as needed.
