This position provides administrative support to the Recreational Boating Safety, Education and Law Enforcement statewide program (LE & Boating Safety Bureau) for forty-one decentralized locations administered and operated by the State Parks Division. This position must demonstrate a comprehensive knowledge of policies and procedures. This position independently manages all records for the LE & Boating Safety Bureau including the accurate tracking of operating budgets and directly supports thirty-five state parks across 25 of 33 counties. This position interacts significantly with park administrative support positions, park superintendents/managers, regional managers, agency program manager, and agency senior management staff providing a variety of technical support functions. This position is heavily involved in vendor contract development and compliance and ensuring compliance with procurement rules and laws. This position will assist visitors and vendors, providing courteous customer service. The position tracks federal funding received by the division, notifies the bureau of federal funding opportunities available, and aids with grant applications. The position processes travel requests for both in-state and out-of-state for the Division.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have experience in the following:
- At least 4 years of SHARE Financial experience.
- Managing successful Federal grants, at least 4 years.
- Researching and understanding federal requirements in awarded grants.
- Delivering grant management related training sessions.
- Creating advanced-level formula driven Excel spreadsheets for budget tracking and projection.
- Drafting and executing professional service agreements (PSA).
Minimum Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field and one (1) year of experience performing budget preparation, financial document preparation and management, policy/program analysis, budget monitoring, governmental accounting, and/or federal grant reporting. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling five (5) years may substitute for the required education and experience.
