The Log Supply Planning Analyst (aka: Market Planner) is a key role responsible for overseeing and owning the wood flow planning process for our Western Timberlands (WTL) operations in Oregon.  This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively collaborate with the Washington Market Planner and other stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of Company objectives from harvest planning to customer deliveries.  This role ultimately reports to the WTL Marketing Director and with the preferred location being the South Oregon Region office in Eugene, OR. 

Key Functions:

  • Coordinate with operations, marketing, transportation, and finance to develop executable monthly, quarterly and annual plans.
  • Facilitate regular meetings to review planning progress, address bottlenecks, and make informed decisions.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of planning data, market trends, and key performance indicators. Generate reports and provide insights to WTL on performance, highlighting areas of improvement, potential risks, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Continuously review and enhance the planning process to increase efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness. Identify and implement best practices, leverage technology tools, and drive automation initiatives to streamline planning activities.

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, finance, forestry, or a related field is preferred.  Equivalent experience in these fields (at least 5 years) will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 3 or more years of proven experience in business planning, production planning, sales planning, or related roles within a similar industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make strategic recommendations.
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail that enable management of multiple planning activities concurrently.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen that allows them to strategically align planning activities with broader business objectives.
  • Proficiency in using planning software, data analysis tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems is preferred.

Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $88,910 - $133,506 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 7% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.

Retirement: Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan, which includes a paid company match in addition to our annual contribution equal to 5% of your base salary.

Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees who are scheduled to work 25 hours or more per week with 3 weeks of paid vacation to use during your first year of employment. In addition, after being employed for six months, eligible employees begin to accrue vacation for future use. We also recognize eleven paid holidays per year, providing a total of 88 holiday hours.
