A Maneuver Damage Technician position is available with Colorado State University and CEMML to be located at Fort Polk, Louisiana. Fort Polk is located in west-central Louisiana among the longleaf pine forests of the Kisatchie National Forest.
This position will serve as a technician under the Maneuver Damage program at Fort Polk. The technician will support Fort Polk by providing technical recommendations and professional facilitation for infrastructure and maneuver damage repair activities, including erosion control, land rehabilitation, habitat protection, and post repair inspections. The Technician will also provide support with the development and implementation of a watershed plan, assist with the identification and documentation of erosion areas within each watershed, and provide recommendations for correction actions.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Experience conducting fieldwork, and accurately recording, entering, and proofing data
- Demonstrated proficiency using field data collection applications, compasses, maps, data tablets, and GPS units
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
- Capable of walking several consecutive miles carrying light gear of up to 30 pounds and performing light manual labor in adverse weather and rugged terrain
