Description:   Natural Resource Services, Inc. (NRS) is looking for qualified candidates to fill our Mobile Vegetation Management Crew Lead position.  This individual will lead vegetation management crews on solar projects across the Upper Midwest.

Responsibilities: Oversee, train and direct technicians working on solar sites. Implement ecologically based vegetation management procedures. Communicate with client contacts as needed. Operate equipment including zero-turn mowers, light utility vehicles, drones, small power equipment, and tractors with mowing attachments. Targeted herbicide application as needed.

Qualifications: A strong interest or degree in biology, ecology, forestry, botany, or natural resource management is required. Ability to effectively manage crews and multiple concurrent projects while meeting deadlines. Additional skills/abilities required: mechanical skills, a good/insurable driving record, aptitude in trailering, excellent communication and organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Requirements: Willingness and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and on uneven terrain. Must be able to bend, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. Comfort with herbicide use is essential, along with a willingness to obtain a Commercial Applicators License(s).  Frequent overnight stays are required given the location of the projects.

Pay Rate: Compensation dependent on qualifications and experience, ranging from $28-$32/hr. Per diems as per company guidelines. Prevailing wages applicable on some projects.
