Interns will work alongside the US Forest Service, National Park Service and Bureau of Land Management in various locations across Colorado and southern Wyoming. Our participants will gain valuable experience, make connections, learn new skills all while serving public lands.
Start dates vary by position but are generally between April and June! Details can be found on our website. New positions added regularly.
Current USFS positions include:
- Recreation interns in Aspen, Silverthorne, Minturn, Steamboat Springs, Walden, Rifle, and Yampa, CO. Douglas, Saratoga, Laramie WY
- Trails and Wilderness interns in Aspen, Meeker, Minturn, Carbondale, and Silverthorne, CO
- Timber and Silviculture interns in Minturn, CO
Current BLM positions include:
- Archaeology in Kremmling, CO
- Fire and Fuels in Craig, CO
- Recreation in Kremmling, CO (Special Recreation Permit Administration and Travel Management)
- Visitor Information Services in Kremmling, CO
- Wildlife in Kremmling, CO
Current National Park Service Positions include:

Internships are designed to engage youth and young adults in valuable work experiences within natural resources management agencies and non-profits. Internships allow participants to consider or advance careers and education in natural resources. RMYC provides support to all internships while the intern works under the daily supervision of the hosting public lands management agency, or non-profit.
