The Natural Resources team at Sonoma County Regional Parks is seeking a Stewardship Crew Field Lead to support programs in invasive plant management, field botany, environmental stewardship, ecological restoration, prescribed fire, and fuels reduction. As a lead on special projects, you’ll coordinate and implement fieldwork, oversee crew safety, and provide hands-on training to support staff development. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, knowledge of local ecosystems, a passion for environmental stewardship.
Competitive candidates will have experience in construction, maintenance, natural resource management, or related fields, with skills in invasive species control, botanical surveys, GIS mapping, and/or prescribed fire operations, as well as proficiency with tools and equipment, and crew leadership in outdoor settings. Strong communication, navigation, and teamwork abilities are essential. The position requires a valid Class C driver’s license and working outdoors in all weather
conditions.
