The Lancaster Clean Water Partners (Partners) is a countywide collaborative of more than eighty partner organizations that come together with a shared vision of clean and clear water in Lancaster by 2040. The Partnersʼs mission is to collaborate, accelerate, and expand efforts to restore and sustain healthy waterways in Lancaster County. The multi-sector collaboration of this group is essential to accomplishing goals and requires intentional outreach, strategic and strong partnerships, as well as transparency and inclusive practices.
Position summary
Blending people and data skills, the Network Coordinator plays a key role in ensuring successful implementation of the Common Agenda by focusing on 2 items: facilitating partner work across sectors to implement the Common Agenda’s priorities and strategies, and co-creating metrics and establishing processes for evaluation of the network.
This role will help establish network metrics and ensure the results of each are effectively collected and shared with partners to:
- Inform action steps
- Drive continuous improvement
- Report on the network’s progress, and
- Engage partners in ways that achieve their organizational goals and advance the network.
The coordinator will work with an outside contractor to finalize the metrics. Also, they will lead the process of gathering and translating the results of the partner organizations doing collaborative work so that the outside contractor can analyze and translate the results into messaging that is digestible and relatable for multiple audiences. The intention is to show the impact of the network so all partners can better tell the story of our collaborative strength.
This is a part-time position that is a perfect opportunity for a person who loves people and facilitating groups working towards a common goal. The person will be mostly remote but regularly interact with the team members who are physically located in the Lancaster County Conservation District office at the Farm and Home Center in Lancaster, PA. Additionally, this position will regularly meet with partners and contractors both in person and in hybrid/remote formats to accomplish the goals.
The is a one year, grant-funded position; but the organization will work to support it beyond the life of the current grant if possible.
Key responsibilities
Partner organization support and coordination
- Serve as the central point for implementation of the network’s Common Agenda including partner facilitation and data collection, coordination of strategy-specific groups, and reporting on impact of the network.
- Begin utilizing the existing implementation tool to assign partner roles, drive action, and track results.
- Work with outside contractors to help establish and achieve network metrics
- Maintain an understanding of current Common Agenda implementation challenges and develop initial recommendations to address them.
- Communicate results of partners working together and progress of implementation of the Common Agenda with the network on a regular basis: a variety of internal and external stakeholders via presentations and reports, for use in forums, workshops, etc
- Support the coordination and execution of data-related meetings and training workshops for partners (using outside support as needed).
- Work closely with partner organizations to increase their engagement with each other, tracking the growth of the network over time via the network mapping tool.
- Launch and maintain an external-facing partner data and Common Agenda implementation reporting tool for the network (could be refinement of existing tool).
- Work with the Data Coordinator at Lancaster County Conservation District to align with metrics and BMP data for the Progress Indicators in the Common Agenda.
- Forge strong relationships and grow countywide support to assist with the Countywide Action Plan implementation.
Required skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of the partner organizations working towards clean water in Lancaster County.
- A positive attitude who is eager to bring groups together
- Relevant experience in group facilitation, customer service, or partner coordination, preferably within a non-profit, community-based, or collective impact group.
- Strong social skills in group dynamics and group management. Ability to take a leading role in group settings with people with diverse backgrounds.
- Experience with data visualization applications such as SumApp/Kumu is helpful.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey information to diverse audiences.
- A strong self-starter with interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with multiple partners and work cross-functionally.
- Enjoys problem-solving, adapts to change and finding effective data-driven solutions.

Compensation
This is a part-time position expected to work 20-25 hours per week with the potential to expand to full time work with additional responsibilities. Payment is $30-$32 per hour.

Organizational Overview
Through a collaborative arrangement for efficient operations and network support, the Lancaster Clean Water Partners has a service agreement with the Lancaster County Conservation District for employment and operations. The person filling this position will be an employee of the Lancaster County Conservation District for HR, payroll, and other services, but will focus completely on the work of the Lancaster Clean Water Partners.
