CZR seeks temporary/part-time field research assistants Apr-Jun 2026

CZR is an environmental consulting firm seeking field research assistants to help with weekly field work April through June 2026.  CZR is located in Wilmington, NC, but field work will occur in Beaufort County, NC and require out-of-town work Tuesday through Thursday.  Work will be conducted from a 19-foot skiff and via foot/waders in creeks to assist with fisheries surveys (trawl and fyke-nets) as well as macro-invertebrate collections in May (sweep nets and ponar).  Candidate may also assist with other field work as needed/available. 

Crew will leave Wilmington about 6:30am on Tuesday and return Thursday evening, staying in New Bern hotel (two nights).  It may be possible for the candidate to meet the field crew in the field to accommodate travel, if home base is closer to the site of field work than Wilmington.  Long field days (~10-12hrs) with expenses covered and pay per hour (~$16-19/hr.) based on experience.  Experience will provide a unique opportunity to see and study a variety of creeks in the Pamlico River estuary while working with an environmental consulting firm.  EOE and drug screening required.  Email transcripts (unofficial is ok), resume, references, and a letter of interest to scooper@czr-inc.com.
