Wage Range : $21-29/hour DOE

Job Description: Project Coordinator
The Nez Perce Soil and Water Conservation District is seeking a project coordinator to assist with fish habitat restoration, agricultural land improvement, water quality, and road improvement projects. The coordinator will work with project planners and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and deliverables are met.
This position is a temporary full time position which ends on December 31, 2025. The position may be extended if additional funding is received.
Position Summary:
The Project Coordinator supports the successful execution of multiple projects, grants, and contracts by maintaining timelines, coordinating documentation, and ensuring compliance with all deliverable requirements. This role works across teams to ensure that projects remain on track, deadlines are met, and that all required materials are completed, organized, and submitted in a timely and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor project timelines, deadlines, and milestones across multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Coordinate the preparation and collection of documentation for grants, contracts, and project deliverables.
- Track progress against deliverable requirements and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely submission.
- Develop and maintain tracking systems (e.g., spreadsheets, dashboards) for project status and documentation.
- Support project leads in preparing reports, presentations, and other required submissions.
- Serve as a liaison between program teams, administrative staff, and external partners regarding deliverables.
- Ensure that documentation meets internal standards and external compliance requirements.
- Identify and flag risks or delays in documentation or project timelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business, administration, project management, or related field.
- Strongly Prefer 2+ years of experience in project coordination, grants management, or contract administration.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with project tracking tools (e.g., Excel, Access, white board).
- Ability to manage competing priorities and work under tight deadlines.
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Ability to walk over uneven terrain in inclement weather.
- Ability to lift, pull, and climb stairs.
- Ability to pack / lift 30 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with grant or contract compliance in nonprofit, academic, or government sectors.
- Experience with document control or version tracking systems.
