About the Position

The Project Manager will be responsible for developing, planning, executing, and monitoring multiple ecological restoration projects, including on-site restoration project oversight. This role involves close collaboration with PFC Resources leadership and third-party partners to ensure that restoration initiatives are well planned and executed, meet defined goals and timelines, and align with the organization’s overall strategies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both on-site and remote project management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including ranch managers, advisors, and landowners.

Core Responsibilities Leadership

  • Collaborate directly with PFC leadership to lead the development and refinement of restoration strategies that align with environmental restoration, conservation, and agricultural goals.
  • Lead the planning and execution of ecological restoration projects, including on-site oversight, ensuring alignment with priority goals and objectives.
  • Monitor performance of PFC restoration goals, including budget development and review, financial reporting, and producing regular updates for the leadership team.

Project Implementation

  • Manage restoration projects on private lands, including hands-on planning and execution of wetlands and riparian restoration work.
  • In coordination with team members, oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
  • Provide regular reports on project budgets, timelines, resources, and communications to ensure transparency and successful completion.
  • Interpret and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and policies related to ecological conservation and land restoration.

Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

  • Partner with third-party partners and contractors, overseeing their work on ecological restoration projects.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, regulatory bodies, NGOs, and community organizations.
  • In coordination with the PFC team and leadership, communicate project goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, construction, and resource allocation.
  • Experience working alongside agricultural or cattle ranching operations, with a solid understanding of the intersection between ecological and agricultural success.
