Location: Natural Resources Building- Olympia, WA
Work Hours flexibility may be available and considered
Relocation Compensation may be available and considered
Salary: $5,088.00 - $6,838.00
Responsibilities (see official listing for full details):
- Provide support and advice to Regions and all Divisions of DNR.
- Research property ownership, and property rights.
- Read and write legal descriptions.
- Assist in title examination, clearance of vesting issues, title reviews, and processing property-related documents and invoices.
- Serve as an agency expert and project manager of right-of-way.
- Coordinate subject matter experts to support projects in the regions or other programs.
- Review contracts.
- Conduct complex negotiations.
- Prepare all required documents for assigned duties.
- Develop training.
- Basic understanding and usage of ArcGIS Pro or equivalent.
- Data entry into complex databases.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, engineering, or real property-related field AND 2 years of professional experience in rights-of-way, land transactions, forestry, real property, contracts, engineering, or surveying,
OR a combination of education and/or experience equivalent. - Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.
- Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.
- Critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve issues.
- Competent and effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience in complex negotiations.
- Experience in creative problem-solving.
- Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience handling sensitive matters.
