Salary: $5,088.00 - $6,838.00

Responsibilities (see official listing for full details):

  • Provide support and advice to Regions and all Divisions of DNR.
  • Research property ownership, and property rights.
  • Read and write legal descriptions.
  • Assist in title examination, clearance of vesting issues, title reviews, and processing property-related documents and invoices.
  • Serve as an agency expert and project manager of right-of-way.
  • Coordinate subject matter experts to support projects in the regions or other programs.
  • Review contracts.
  • Conduct complex negotiations.
  • Prepare all required documents for assigned duties.
  • Develop training.
  • Basic understanding and usage of ArcGIS Pro or equivalent.
  • Data entry into complex databases.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in natural resources, engineering, or real property-related field AND 2 years of professional experience in rights-of-way, land transactions, forestry, real property, contracts, engineering, or surveying,
    OR a combination of education and/or experience equivalent. 
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering and supporting an environment that honors diversity, equity, inclusion, and environmental justice practices.
  • Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.
  • Critical thinking skills to analyze and resolve issues.
  • Competent and effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in complex negotiations.
  • Experience in creative problem-solving.
  • Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience handling sensitive matters.
