Full time resource conservationist at the Edwardsville Field Office located at 900 Hillsboro Avenue, Edwardsville, IL 62025.  Preferred qualifications:  either a BS or Associate in Engineering, Agriculture, Agronomy or Biology, work experience also considered. 

Duties: determine feasibility and need for the application of different agronomic and mechanical practices used to solve resource problems.  Gather resource information as: soil type, USLE, planning maps, cropping sequence, etc.  Conduct field survey and fill out necessary forms in regard to the T by 2000 tillage transect survey.  Work with municipal officials in the planning and application of erosion control, sediment control and storm water management practices on urban development sites.  Review construction plans and make comments in regard to effectiveness of ersion and storm water plans.  Performs the agreed to items in the ATechnical Services Agreement with NRCS.  This duty entails the planning, survey, design and construction check out of Partners for Conservation Program (PFC, Conservation Reserve Program (CARP) and EQIP program.  more details are in the job announcement contact if you would like the complete list.

Provide tree planting and fish stocking information to landowners in regard to the district's tree and fish sales.
