Stand.earth is seeking a Senior Donor Engagement Officer to join our team! This position will be responsible for leading relationships with Stand's US donors and prospects to raise at least $1.5M in 2026, with sustainable increases to that goal in subsequent years. The candidate is responsible for managing a portfolio of donor relationships, developing and executing individualized strategies to approach and solicit qualified leads, and up-managing solicitors on the executive and leadership teams in cultivating and soliciting major donors in their own portfolios.

Our new teammate in this position will get an opportunity to work with a highly informed, passionate donor base, who care deeply about people and the planet. You'll get to learn and share enthusiastically about Stand's work protecting forests, stopping fossil fuel expansion, and getting communities ready for a climate-safe future. You'll travel to beautiful places in the Pacific Northwest for this job, including hosting salons and donor meetings on Whidbey Island and Bainbridge Island, spending time in Friday Harbor, stewarding a budding community in Sun Valley, and working an annual event on Cortes Island, BC, and an annual dinner in Vancouver, BC. Stand donors like to meet over early morning coffee, on walks, on boats, over a glass of wine, painting protest signs, and at lectures or classes that feed their curiosity. Some will talk deeply about their faith, their activism, their entrepreneurship, their families, their travels, and their impact on the world. Stand hosts events that are smart, thoughtful, joyful, and galvanizing. And you'll work with a team that is smart, dedicated, creative, wry, supportive, and hungry for change. If that sounds energizing, you're interested in doing the work outlined below, and you meet our baseline qualifications, we hope you'll apply.

We encourage applicants to apply by October 20. This position is open until filled.

About Stand.earth:

Stand.earth is a nonprofit environmental organization working to create a world where respect for people and the environment comes first. Our campaigns challenge destructive corporate and governmental practices, demand accountability, and create solutions that support all of us - and the environment and climate upon which we depend. Stand's strategic approach and fierce determination have yielded extraordinary results: Since 2000, we've secured the protection of millions of acres of wilderness, shifted billions of dollars of corporate purchasing toward responsible options, and transformed the environmental practices of more than 100 major U.S. corporations. Stand.earth operates in the United States and Canada.

Stand recognizes and respects the sovereignty of First Nations and tribes, and the rights of Indigenous Peoples and frontline communities. These communities are often first and most directly impacted by environmental pollution and climate change, and they provide critical leadership in developing solutions.

Pollution, climate change, and corporations' bad behavior disproportionately hurts the most marginalized people in society - including people of colour, people from working class backgrounds, people with disabilities, women and LGBTQ+ people. To develop transformative solutions, these communities must be centered in the work we do. Hence, we strongly encourage applications from people with these identities or who are members of other historically marginalized communities. If you require assistance applying to this opportunity, please contact equalopportunity@stand.earth.
