The Forest Stewards Guild seeks a detail-oriented, collaborative, and individually motivated Southwest Project Coordinator to support community wildfire resilience, community engagement, and forest stewardship across central and northern New Mexico. This position will support two cornerstone efforts - the Community Wildfire Defense Grant (CWDG) in the Greater Santa Fe Fireshed and the Fire Adapted New Mexico Learning Network (FACNM) - working closely with the Fireshed Coordinator and the Fire Adapted Communities Coordinator.

Key responsibilities will include conducting Home Hazard Assessments for private landowners and residents, assisting the Fireshed Coordinator with facilitation of fuels mitigation projects, supporting the Fireshed Ambassador Network to expand peer-to-peer community engagement, and supporting statewide wildfire adaptation through the FAC program.
In addition to program-specific duties, the Coordinator will provide general support across the Southwest office, assisting with event preparation, communications, and day-to-day project needs. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about both community-facing work and behind-the-scenes coordination. The best fit for this Coordinator position is someone interested in hands-on experience at the intersection of wildfire resilience, forestry, and community collaboration.
