Join our team as we lead urban and community forestry projects across the state! We're seeking three Urban & Community Forestry Project Specialists to work in our Forestry division. You'll work statewide and with various partners to maintain and manage shade tree and community forest resources, enhancing the physical, social, and economic well-being of Minnesota's communities.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessing state urban and community forestry resources and programs
- Administering the community forestry grants program
- Providing urban and community forestry outreach, education, and technical assistance
- Facilitating urban and community forestry training and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications include:
- Three (3) years intermediate level professional experience in community forest management
- Knowledge of current urban and community forestry issues
- Experience with budget management, grant administration, project management, and GIS
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
- Cultural competency and ability to work with diverse communities
