The Lancaster County Conservation District is pleased to offer a fixed-term summer internship position available from mid-May through late-July 2026.  The summer internship position will assist several programs within the Conservation District from Environmental Education to Watershed Protection/Restoration.  The majority of the intern’s time will be working within two program areas, the Watershed and Education Programs.  Potential projects the intern could be involved with, but are not limited to, include local stream fishery surveys, watershed educational activities, stream assessment surveys, water quality monitoring data input/analysis, assisting with the District’s Youth Conservation School program, teacher professional development workshops, and GIS database entry work.  8 AM – 4 PM work day Monday-Thursday with compensatory time when applicable, and $15/hr.  Interested applicants for the 2026 summer internship position should visit the Lancaster County Conservation District’s website (www.lancasterconservation.org) and complete a 2026 summer internship application with the required documents.  The deadline for applications is February 20, 2026.
