Join our dynamic team at American Forest Management, Inc. (AFM) as Part-time Administrative Assistant responsible for providing crucial administrative support to our forestry personnel in a client-focused forest management business. Reporting directly to the District Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in maintaining operational efficiency.

AFM’s services include land and wildlife management; land sales and acquisitions; forest inventory, planning, and design; growth and yield modeling; cash-flow projections; environmental and farmland services; appraisal; forest resource data management; and harvest scheduling.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate service contracts for harvesting operations and road work using standardized forms and information provided by foresters.
- Accurately input service contract data into our forest management and accounting systems.
- Code and enter accounts payable data into specialized forest accounting software.
- Manage incoming phone calls, providing information or redirecting them as necessary.
- Handle daily mail collection from the post office, sorting incoming mail, and assisting with outgoing mail, and shipments.
- Operate office machinery proficiently for data input and retrieval, organizing maintenance as needed.
- Compose and type routine correspondence to be sent via mail, email, or fax.
- Undertake additional related duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- Preferred: Associate's Degree.
- Office experience involving various computer software and a demonstrated ability to effectively manage detailed data tasks.
- Adaptability to learn and proficiently use forest accounting systems.
- Impeccable attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
- Familiarity with office procedures and equipment.
- Commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality with both customer and internal information.
- Ability to foster strong team relationships with managers, colleagues, clients, vendors, and customers.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Strong ability to prioritize workload effectively.
- Soft Skills: communication, organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, adaptability, problem-solving, tech savviness, collaboration, and professionalism.

Salary and Benefits
