CTW is an environmental conservation corps that empowers individuals from all backgrounds and abilities to contribute purposefully to their community through education and hands on experience.  CTW values diversity, equity, and inclusion of our members to reflect the communities in which they serve. CTW accomplishes its mission and purpose through a workforce development initiative performing community service work on public lands, roads, and waterways.  Participants improve recreation areas, rehabilitate trails, mow, weed eat, tree and brush removal, pick up litter, improve habitat for threatened and endangered species, work on sensitive archaeological lands while earning industry recognized certifications and an AmeriCorps education award.

We serve local young adults 15-35 years old and veterans up to 35 years old and place them in a workforce development initiative gaining on the job training improving their communities while also improving their lives.

Location:  based out of Crawfordville, Florida (south of Tallahassee)

Responsibilities include assisting the AmeriCorps Program Manager to oversee CTW's AmeriCorps grants with federal and/or state commission programs and its policies and procedures for its 20-30 members.  This includes duties such as but not limited to enrolling and exiting members, conducting orientation and zoom meetings with participants and staff, attending monthly webinars, implementing procedures, monitoring terms and timelines, sending timesheets for e-signatures and receiving same, preparing mid and end of year evaluations, liaison with partners and obtain partner surveys, maintain a calendar year of term end dates, prepare End of Year Report, assisting finance coordinator to monitor budget and submit monthly invoice packets and assist staff to reapply.  Additionally, assisting to recruit and train members as well as expand the programs and the number of participants. 

Qualifications:  We are seeking an extremely organized individual with experience with AmeriCorps to assist our environmental conservation corps based in Florida and serving the southeast region.

  • Required - experience with AmeriCorps policies and procedures.
  • Preferred - Experience managing an AmeriCorps grant is preferred, Florida State Commission a plus!
  • MS365 Experience (Word, Excel) required.
  • Familiar with databases preferred
  • Excellent typing require
  • Florida residency preferred
  • Ability to travel to 2 conferences a year in Florida, and site visits to job sites 3-4 x a year each site.
  • Commercially insurable driver’s license (not suspended within past year)
  • Background Check
  • Remote work possible but must be available for in person trainings and conferences

Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule you can choose
    • 5 day a week 8-hour day Mon - Fri 8 am to 4 pm

or

    • 4 days a week 10-hour days- or Mon - Thurs 7 am to 5 pm with Friday, Saturday and Sunday off
