Position Overview
Our rescue line is operational 24 hours per day, 365 days per year for callers with wildlife emergencies all over the state of Arizona. Rescue Team Transport Only volunteers go into the field to transport injured, ill or orphaned animals that are already captured and crated to the SWCC clinic. If an animal rescuer is not able to bring an animal to SWCC, Rescue Team Transport Only Volunteers are called upon to safely transport these animals to the sanctuary. In addition to safe transportation, these volunteers provide a stress-free environment during travel, Rescue Team Transport Only Volunteers are not assigned a regular schedule and are on call, based on availability 24 hours per day. Rescue Team Transport Only volunteers must use their own vehicle to transport animals and must have a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance. You must attend 2 hour on site training before you can transport animals.
