We are seeking a plant biologist to join our faculty as a tenure track assistant professor.  We are a primarily undergraduate teaching institution (PUI) where primary course responsibilities would involve plant based offerings within the biology discipline of the biology in the School of Natural Sciences.  The ability to teach a course in Local Flora (Field Botany) is a must.  Additional courses are likely to include an introductory botany course for biology majors or other introductory biology courses for science majors or non majors.  The succesful candidate will also be able to contribute to the program by offering other courses related to evolution or plant based courses depending on their area of expertise (physiology, anatomy, systematics, etc.)  Other responsibilities include development of a scholarly program involve undergraduate researchers and service responsibilities to the university, college, and school.
