1) San Bernard National Wildlife Refuge Admin Building And Visitor Center - 6801 County Rd 306, Brazoria, TX 77422
Participants will assist U.S. Fish and Wildlife (USFW) efforts to monitor orphaned & active oil & gas infrastructure, engage in habitat restoration, trail maintenance, & assist with other land management needs at the host site, including some opportunities in visitor education & engagement.

2) Hagerman National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center – 6465 Refuge Rd, Sherman, TX 75092
Participant will assist U.S. Fish and Wildlife (USFW) efforts to monitor active oil & gas infrastructure, engage in impact mitigation, & assist with other land management needs at the host site, including visitor outreach & engagement.

COMPENSATION (Monthly Living Allowance):
- $2,720 per month ($1,360 biweekly)
AMERICORPS TERM LENGTHS
- October 2026 - June 2027
- 1200 hour term (~8-9 months)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Frequently required to walk and hike over long distances while carrying tools
- Ability to operate tools
- Heavy lifting, bending, and carrying up to 35-50* pounds (*depending on crew type)
- Walking and working on steep or uneven terrain
- Ability to work long days in adverse weather conditions
- Depending on crew type, ability to hitch, camp, and travel throughout the duration of an entire AmeriCorps term
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED, Bachelor's Degree in conservation biology or related field
- Ages 21+
- US Citizenship or lawful permanent US Resident
- Ability to pass a National Service Criminal History Check (NSCHC)

- Adaptability and flexibility with project tasks during service hours
- Desire to learn, grow and problem-solve
- Additional Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
- Desire to explore your leaderships style and develop leadership skills
- Good problem solving and logistical skills
- Collaborative Leadership and Facilitation skills
- Willingness to engage in hard conversations and mediate conflict
- Prior Conservation Corps and/or AmeriCorps experience with successful completion of term
