EnvironMEND, Inc. is seeking a part-time Biological Monitor for Federal construction projects located in the Everglades (12351 S US Highway 27, South Bay, Palm Beach County, FL). This position offers flexible hours (15-20 hours a week) and requires the protection of Threatened and Endangered Species, as well as Migratory Bird Identification.
Requirements:
- College degree and 2 – 4 years of field experience in South Florida.
- Expertise in identifying Migratory birds, nesting habitats, Gopher Tortoise, Eastern Indigo Snake, and other South Florida flora and fauna.
- Must reside in Florida.
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Computer with Microsoft software and internet access to meet daily reporting deadlines.
- Pay range $25-$28 per hour, plus drive time.
