Rocky Mountain National Park is recuriting Biological Science Technicians for the 2026 summer season in various natural resources programs including vegetation management, forest health, research learning center, and large mammal management. With the vegetation management program, multiple crews specialize in invasive species control, native plant revegetation, greenhouse/nursery operations, rare plant monitoring, and volunteer coordination. work often involves extensive hiking or, for some crews, camping for several days at a time in the backcountry. Positions at the GS6 and 7 levels are crew leads or positions with greater responsibility.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in the 415 square miles of mountains, forests, meadows, lakes, and alpine tundra that make up Rocky Mountain National Park, with 95% designated wilderness and 60 mountain peaks above 12,000 ft.
These positions typically start in April and continue through September or October.
