While not an all inclusive list of duties, the incumbent will:

Select and implement appropriate sampling techniques

Interpret biological and hydrological interactions and observations

Formulate innovative solutions to complex resource management problems

Formulate sound conclusions regarding actions to be taken or recommended

Evaluate the effects of past environmental degradation on rare, candidate, proposed and federally listed threatened and endangered species, migratory birds, wetlands, and other important fish and wildlife resources, and develop restoration/compensation features and/or conservation recommendations or measures

Conduct toxicological investigations and studies, interpreting results, and preparing technical reports on the effects of environmental contaminants on fish and wildlife resources

Measure effects upon fish and wildlife resources of contaminants introductions in specific environments, including secondary effects resulting from basic environmental alterations

Develop restoration proposals to provide habitat for rare, candidate, proposed, and federally listed threatened and endangered species
