The Mission

The Oregon Hunters Association (OHA) is the state’s largest organization dedicated to protecting wildlife, habitat, and our hunting heritage. We are currently in an aggressive growth mode, modernizing how we advocate for Oregon’s hunters and conservation efforts. We are seeking a dynamic Brand & Engagement Specialist to lead our digital evolution and serve as the primary engine for member communication, storytelling, and recruitment.

The Role & Responsibilities

As our Brand & Engagement Specialist, you will wear several critical, strategic hats to modernize our legendary institution:

  • Digital Infrastructure Lead: Own the OHA web presence. You will spearhead our transition to a modern, high-performance website platform, ensuring it becomes a dynamic, user-friendly hub for our 26 Chapters and 12,000+ members.
  • Social Storyteller: Direct our social media strategy across all platforms. You will translate "boots on the ground" conservation projects and legislative wins into engaging content that resonates with our constituencies across a wide spectrum of demographics and profiles.
  • Membership Engagement Engine: Drive our CRM engagement and growth strategies. You will work closely with leadership to develop and deploy high-impact email campaigns, newsletters, and urgent legislative "Action Alerts."
  • Brand Guardian: Protect and elevate the OHA visual identity. You will establish modern guidelines ensuring all digital graphics, public relations materials, and print media remain sharp, professional, and mission aligned.

  • Data-Informed Tech Generalist: You are a self-starter who knows how to leverage CRM data, email marketing metrics, and website analytics to guide marketing choices.

Core Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience leading digital engagement, brand strategy, or communications campaigns.
  • Proven track record managing modern websites (CMS) and utilizing automated email marketing/CRM systems, together with social media engagement.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to pivot flawlessly from a technical legislative update to a compelling human-interest story with ease.
  • Oregon residency and the ability to travel to event sites and field projects as needed.
