Are you passionate about hands-on outdoor and science education? Do you care about environmental justice and urban nature? Gateway to the Great Outdoors (GGO) is seeking a Chicago City Coordinator to connect students with the outdoors, ignite curiosity, and build environmental literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Coordination: Plan and implement weekly programming and monthly field trips in coordination with teachers, schools, mentors, and partners.
  • Material Coordination: Oversee the receipt, storage, and distribution of GGO materials.
  • Activity Planning: Organize field trips and an end-of-year camping trip that inspires and educates.
  • Program Improvement: Continuously seek ways to enrich our programs.
  • Fundraising: Participate in fundraising efforts, donor management, and grantmaking.
  • Communication: MUST Maintain strong communication with the GGO team.
  • Supervision: Oversee AmeriCorps members and college mentors.
