Citizens for Conservation is seeking passionate individuals interested in pursuing careers in ecological restoration or natural resources. This 10-week internship offers college-aged people hands-on experience restoring and managing prairies, wetlands, and savannas.
Throughout the program, interns will gain practical skills in identifying and managing invasive species, collecting and sowing native seed, and supporting ecosystem restoration efforts. Interns are mentored daily by CFC staff and field other professionals and work alongside a dedicated community of volunteers.

Preferred candidates are:
- Students studying or interested in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science, or Natural Resources
- Able to work outdoors all day, including off-trail, in a variety of weather conditions
- Willing to use herbicide while under supervision of CFC staff or other trained individuals
- Able to lift and carry 20-30 pounds
- A dedicated team member with a positive attitude
Start date: Monday, June 1 End date: Friday, August 7
Work days: 30 hours/week; 10 weeks; Tuesday - Saturday
Compensation: $17/hour
