Leave your visual mark on biodiversity conservation in the Northeast.

Storied wildlife research organization the Vermont Center for Ecostudies (VCE) is looking for a graphic designer and visual artist who can help us inspire our community and protect the flora and fauna that share our world, from migratory songbirds and loons, to bumble bees, moths, butterflies, and native flowers.

The Vermont Center for Ecostudies advances biodiversity conservation across the Americas through research, monitoring, and community engagement. The communications production designer will lead design and production across our print publications, website, social media, and email communications. With plenty of opportunities for creativity and innovation, the successful applicant will collaborate closely with conservation biologists and development and communications professionals to bring VCE’s science to life for volunteers, donors, and the public.

This role requires at least four days a week in our office. Remote applicants will not be considered. The team at VCE prizes a healthy work-life balance, with flexibility within the workday and generous paid time off. You’ll work out of a light-filled, recently renovated office in White River Junction surrounded by walking trails and located minutes from restaurants, gyms, and stores in WRJ, Hanover, and Lebanon.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong design skills
  • Ability to think creatively about reaching our goals
  • Comfort managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Outstanding attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for VCE’s mission and community
  • Photography skills are not required but are a welcomed plus.
