Looking for direct experience with environmental organizations in Portland, OR? Join Confluence Environmental Center’s AmeriCorps program and address critical environmental needs in low-income communities through habitat restoration, conservation, community engagement, watershed health, education, volunteer coordination, land stewardship, and community gardening.
Confluence partners with community-based organizations, public schools, and government agencies to create full time, 9-month service positions that encourage leadership development and environmental stewardship. Project partners include Portland Public Schools, Portland Community College, Mt. Hood Community College, Cottonwood School of Civics and Science, and the Housing Authority of Clackamas County.

About Confluence AmeriCorps program: The Confluence AmeriCorps Program advances environmental equity through innovative partnerships with local organizations in the Portland metropolitan area. We offer life-changing service opportunities that engage AmeriCorps Volunteers at the intersection of environmentalism and social justice while promoting individual leadership and development. This position is a dynamic combination of serving with a Project Partner on a dedicated project (80%) and engaging in professional and leadership development opportunities alongside a member cohort (20%). www.confluencecenter.org
